On the Thursday before the festival, we invite you to hike from Turtmann to Oberems and back to Leuk with a nature park guide and literary accompaniment from Lorena Simmel and Anne Weber. You can leave your luggage in Leuk during the hike.

Meeting place: 9:15 at the Leuk Train Station
Duration: An approximately 2.5 hour, 8.5 km walk; ascent: 80 meters; descent: 440 meters; return: around 16:30
Gear: Sturdy shoes, 1-liter liquids, sun protection
Fee: Fr. 75 (without GA) and Fr. 65 (with GA), please specify at registration
Includes: lunch and train travel Leuk-Turtmann, cable car
The final transfer from Leuk to Leukerbad is not included. Luggage can be deposited in Leuk during the walk.

Variety is a highlight of the Pyn-Finges Nature. Secluded village centers, surprising bear’s breeches, an impressive waterfall, and splendid cultivated landscapes provide an inspiring backdrop for the walk and the readings.
After a short train journey from Leuk to Turtmann (departure from Leuk at 9:32), we begin the tour with a brief visit of the cultural heritage village of Turtmann. We will take the cable car up to Oberems and stop in Hotel Emshorn for lunch. In the afternoon, the route will take us from Unterems to Leuk.
Our guide will once again be Armin Christen. The literary accompaniment will be Lorena Simmel and Anne Weber.
